Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF)

The Journey
Our journey with Kenya Tourism Federation begun in 2012 after being part of the team that worked on the inaugural Kenya Tourism Awards(KETA). KETA was designed to recognize industry players for their contribution in promoting and sustaining excellence in the sector.

KTF is the national umbrella body for the private sector in tourism, representing the interests of seven main tourism associations. Riverwood communications has worked with KTF for the last 8 years on different projects, to position KTF as the voice of the tourism private sector players locally, regionally and globally.

The Approach

How we have done it:
In helping position KTF as a thought leader in the industry, we employed several tactics:

  • Ensuring regular publicity on key KTF activities including advocacy, lobbying, member activities and most recently the Kenya Tourism Networking annual Gala.
  • Ensuring KTF participation in public and media discussions around tourism, sustained and regular interaction with key tourism journalists and writers, regular press conferences, press statements and stakeholder briefings, partnerships especially with the Ministry Of Tourism and KTF member associations and profiling of key KTF Spokespersons.
