Brighter Monday

The journey of a lifetime begins with one step:
BrighterMonday.com East Africa’s #1 job website was embarking on a campaign to get more job seekers interested in seeking jobs through their website. This was after the Website had been acquired by an investor and was soon to become part of a bigger conglomerate One Africa Media Ltd.


To this end Brightermonday had partnered with the first ever Kenyan to attempt to summit Mt Everest with the intention of inspiring the youth to find inspiration in overcoming the challenges they come across while seeking jobs after completing their education.

 
Our assignment within the period was to generate publicity for BrighterMonday in their campaign to sponsor the first Kenyan to summit the Everest thus driving interest and connection with the Brightermonday jobs website, launch of their new offices under One Africa Limited , and the “Never Give up campaign” where they sponsored Steve Obayyi to make a second attempt to summit Mt Everest.



The Approach

How we did it:
Riverwood Communications developed a publicity blitz for BrighterMonday, and the Everest campaigns while Orchestrating a targeted media campaign to showcase One Africa media offices and position them as a leader and trendsetters in creating liberal workspaces and trends.

The Outcome

The results

  • Ensured regular media coverage with hits valued at over USD 251,286 in advertising value.
  • Opened up BrighterMonday to the media and sustained a positive local image through media publicity and stakeholder relations.
  • Creating a publicity blitz for the One Africa Media offices which received coverage valued at USD 245,674
